Whether it’s teaching the basics of fly fishing, helping with transportation, preparing meals, or simply offering support, there’s a place for everyone to contribute. Together, we can create healing experiences and a stronger community for those who served.
What to Expect
Gear Provision
We provide all necessary fly fishing equipment completely free of charge. This ensures that no veteran faces financial barriers to participation. From rods and reels to lines and flies, everything is supplied so participants can focus on healing and connection, not costs.
Lessons & Instruction
Our programs welcome all skill levels—no experience is needed. Volunteers offer patient, beginner-friendly instruction in a supportive environment. These lessons create calm, mindful moments that reduce stress and build confidence.
Guided Trips
Veterans are invited on group outings to rivers, lakes, and streams where they can practice new skills, enjoy nature, and connect with others. Each trip is designed to encourage camaraderie, relieve stress, and create lasting bonds. All transportation, gear, and guidance are included at no cost.
Community & Peer Support
Healing happens in community. Our programs bring veterans together, fostering friendships and peer-to-peer support both on and off the water. This helps reduce isolation, build resilience, and strengthen a sense of belonging.
Virtual Opportunities
For those unable to join in person, we offer online meet-ups and virtual instruction. Every veteran across Canada should have the chance to benefit from the restorative experience of fly fishing, regardless of location or ability to travel.
